Volunteer Application

Our initiative is volunteer-run and help is greatly appreciated to ensure we provide the best information and education for and on behalf of the aromantic community. Please direct your applications to contact@aromanticism.org.

Who are we looking for?

REPRESENTATIVEs

As a representative for an event or an interview, we’d put you on a list of people who may be potentially approached for an interview or to speak at an event. We’d then contact you upon request. Due to the nature of events being in person, you’d have to share with us where you’re based and what area you’d be able to cover so that we could direct the person interested in an aromantic perspective to the right person. If you’d like to help out in either or both of those areas, please include REPRESENTATIVE in the topic line of your message and indicate what you would like to do in the body of the message.

Translators

As a translator, the primary goal would be to translate the glossary, the FAQ and the resources of our own making. This could be a one time only project with an option to stand-by when any of those are seeing maintenance and something is added or changed. If you’d like to help out with this, please include TRANSLATOR in the topic line of your message and indicate what you would like to do and what language you’d like to translate to in the body of the message. We welcome any and all languages.

CONTRIBUTORs

As a contributor, you would be assigned to a certain project, alongside the people already working on it to help out with creating and/or maintaining it. Our feed requires the most consistent work, some writing skills, and would be the most time-consuming. Our resources and glossary need to be maintained less often and require thoroughness and attention to detail. If you’d like to contribute to an area that is not listed here, we’d be glad to settle this individually with you. If you’d like to help out with this, please include CONTRIBUTOR in the topic line of your message and indicate what you would like to do in the body of the message.

Web Developers

As a part of our web development team, you would be responsible for general site maintenance. This includes updating and inserting links within the site, adding pages for new language translations, and other site upkeep needs. If you’d like to help out with this, please include WEB DEVELOPMENT in the topic line of your message and indicate what you would like to do in the body of your message.
